Who we are

Birth Trauma Aotearoa is a consumer-centered organisation.
We hold mothers, birthing people and whānau at the heart of what we do.

Our mahi stretches across Aotearoa.

Birth Trauma Aotearoa is a Registered Charitable Trust (CC61057), established in 2021.

Birth Trauma Aotearoa is entirely volunteer run – everyone is involved because we believe in preventing physical and psychological birth trauma and improving support following it.

We receive no government funding – any funding we receive is via fundraising, donations or advisory work.
